Buncombe County, the City of Asheville and RENCI-Asheville have identified a need for a tool that calculates percent slope of a designated area, identifies whether it falls into a regulated part of the county, and allows for consistency and transparency of that determination to the citizens.
The goal of this site is to have an online tool that will meet the needs of staff and citizens for determining whether an area of interest requires additional consideration in the process of approving permits and site selection. The user will be provided with the opportunity to select a parcel, or draw a boundary an area of interest against which calculations of percent slope will be determined. The user will also be able to create a printable report of the results, which can then be attached to applications and/or decisions for additional action. |
